Any welders to cut kickstand?

SDMoto - San Diego Sport Bike Motorcycle Forum Group/Any welders to cut kickstand? => I've read that I should get my kickstand cut after lowering my bike. Anyone know of any welders that could cut and weld my kickstand for cheap?

How much did you lower the bike? How did you do it?

I wouldn't recommend cutting and welding the kickstand, the welds won't be nearly as strong as the stand was.

if you only dropped the bike 2inches or less you dont have to worry about cutting the kickstand.

I'm not sure how much lower it is from stock height but the guy I bought it from used the adjustable dog bone with 3 holes and he put it in the lowest one since I'm short. Kickstand seems to be holding up fine but on tilted ground, it has to be facing the other way. I imagine this happens with stock height too but probably just less? I just read some forums and they recommend cutting or getting an adjustable kickstand to fix the offset of geometry of the bike?

Got your msg heh sorry took so long to reply. Anywho the adjustable kickstand is the way to go welding would be fine but you never know how long it will hold since there is a chance it can break and there for you dropping your bike.
