Pretty old vid, but it was nice to watch.
I don't think pitting a car against a bike is EVER going to make sense. They're two completely different species.

wrong! there's a vid (FOUND IT!) where a car beats a bike around a track with multiple turns simply because the car can brake wayyy later

I never said a motorcycle would always win or anything. I merely stated that it doesn't really make sense to ever pit them against each other. It's like trying to compare apples and oranges.

It's tough to even compare with the classes of cars and bikes. For example in the video you posted, they pitted a Nissan GTR vs. a 1098s. Why not the 1198? Why not another car? What standard of comparison are they using when they choose each vehicle? There's really no conclusion to be had. Plus, road conditions in the video weren't the best for the bike, having only 2 wheels and not 4 like a car.

The video you posted, however, was awesome to watch Cheesy

holy crap i jizzed myself when i heard that f1 car light up  Shocked!!!!!

i hate to say it but i think the extra 2 wheels on a car gives a huge advantage in the corners..both under brakes/ and power. you can keep the throttle pinned in a car and just spin the crap out of the tires without low/highsiding, most riders can't do that without crashing i dont think. but i'm not aphysicist/engineer

i agree that its apples and oranges

ya, that's an understatement wuzer.  Those cars are pretty much amazing.  You know, because of the tunnel underbodies on F1 cars, there is so much force holding them to the track that if the track was flipped upsidedown during a race, they would still stick to the track despite gravity.  so rad.
