Put your kickstand down on any one of those circles you see in the middle of the lane. The metal will activate the sensor.

just remember to shift into neutral if you're going to do that!

the sensors are magnetically activated....I've had some friends tape really strong magnets to their shoes and just touch the circle.

hehe my bike doesn't need to be in neutral! Cheesy

or if you can be ghetto like me and get off your bike and hit those pedestrian crossing buttons =P
i've tried the kickstand trick, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't =\

Thats what I do to.

The problem with that is if youre turning left. Doesnt really change for you. You can either do that, the kickstand thing or 2 other options are to turn right and flip around and then turn right again (if you were going to go straight. The other being to just run the light, but remember this one is illegal. You get caught, youre gonna get cited for it.

haha totally random, but some lights at major intersections have a detector for blue and red flashing lights.
So an emergency personal with their flashing lights on, can activate the traffic light.
Whats funny is that taxi drivers have abused it and placed an emitting diode on their taxi's. To prevent being caught using illegal lighting, they have used a tape to block the visible light, but the detector can still sense the UV or IR (I forgot which).
But, yeah I know that the company got smarter and now requires something else besides just lightwaves.

Who knows maybe just gotta shine a laser pointer at the detector? Tongue that be sick

That's freaking awesome! I mean illegal, but awesome haha.
I've heard the highbeam legends, but I honestly think that's just people overthinking it..

Seriously.. since traffic is of no concern.. if we can make the lights to be green for us all the time.. no need for stops until we actually hit campus and its 500+ stop signs

Yeah, but I didn't know which one the flashing light creates in its spectrum, could be IR/Visible, or UV/Visible. I just knew it could detect a wavelength beyond our vision, so cops won't see the flashing lights and pull you over. O.o totally ucsd geeked out haha
