Hey, my name is Eugene.  I bumped into Aimen and Vidder today.  It was my first time to the campus in well over a decade.  I'm supposed to transfer there this winter.  It was nice meeting y'all and finding out that there's a good community of riders on campus.  That's very good to hear.  Hopefully we can all watch out for each other, especially in regards to bike thieves.

Anyway, I ride 2002 black SV650, naked, with a top case.  I always wear gear...almost always solid black.  I'm a physiology and neuroscience major.  I started getting back into weightlifting this summer.  I'm gaining mass pretty quick, so maybe y'all will soon be able to recognize me as "that big white dude"...haha!  I may go on some rides with you guys, but I gotta admit that I just don't seem to understand handling a bike at the limit, so it's not all that much fun.  I'm great in a car and love going fast in one, but I seem to prefer a more leisurely pace on a bike.

Well...I better get back to studying...and the Chargers game.  Go Chargers!!

Was definitely nice meeting you Eugene, i'm ashamed to say I used to be an avid believer in ATGATT (all the gear all the time) but i've gotten really lazy since i've moved to SD for school being so close to campus.

Gear can really allow you to walk away harmless after a crash that would normally put you in the hospital.

Hey everyone,

My name is Eric. I am a first at revelle who is stoked about a ucsd motorcycle club. I have been riding for about a year and a half and have rougly 10k miles under my belt. I have ridden a lot throughout the fun, mountanous, and curvey roads east county has to offer, yet most of my miles are from riding to the beach for work. I currently ride an awesome 87 ex500 that has treated me quite well so far, but I would love to have a ninja 636. Looking foreward to riding with you all!

Eric

Hey guys, my name is Lee, from San Francisco Bay Area. I am a junior at UCSD at sixth college. I ride a scarred 2000 R6 that is just under 20K. Been riding for nearly 3 years. Saw the card on my bike one day and thought I would hit this website up.

Hey all,

My name's Mike, I ride an '05 GSXR-600 (Blue and bare metal, haha). My bike is the one that's been crashed parked in Muir, from my first ride at Palomar, lol. I'm a third year Mechanical Engineering major from Sixth college and work with ACMS and ride with lots of my coworkers. I love going to Palomar and Julian, did my first track day last month, been to Qualcomm drags, and just love going fast in general. I'm into a bit of stunting too and if you see someone pulling wheelies down Villa La Jolla, it's probably me, haha. Looking forward to having a group to ride with!

Keep the shiny side up!

Hello,
I'm Angela Smiley I have a grey 08 SV650S. I got my bike about a year and a half ago. I'm from the Bay, and have been to Highway 9, Uvas, etc. I havent really been in the mountains down in SD though. I love riding on the freeway even though most bikers find it boring. Shuttle driver right here!
Hope to see you all on the road! Smiley

Aimen, I feel you on the gear.  If I had a short commute, I'd be awfully tempted to forgo the gear, but I have a 40 mile commute.  Even worse, I'll probably be riding in heavy traffic most of the time which really takes a lot out of me.  I surely won't be complaining about gear in a couple months when the temps drop.

Danny
5th year Mechanical Engineer major

Ride:
2000 Blue R6, but I crashed it on palomar back in april. So my bike is currently naked now.
I have a little more than a year of experience with me so I'm pretty comfortable with group ride, mountain, casual ride, so on.

Copper sv650. Been riding for a year and a couple months now. Put on 11,000 miles mostly commuting. I really wish to go on group rides to wear down something other than the center of my rear tire.

PS-  Don't know why I picked this username by the way.. Maybe some MAE students will find it funny.

Yeah when I used to commute in the LA area, coming home during rush hour would take a lot out of me mentally, where are do you live?

I'm down in Spring Valley.  I'm hoping the commute isn't as bad as I fear.  I'll go to school super early and leave really late if that's what I have to do to avoid traffic.  That's probably what I'll need to do anyway to get enough time in the gym and the library.  I just don't want to be useless at school because I'm drained from my commute.

Hi, I am Austin. I am a senior at ERC and majoring in Political Science/International Relations. I currently ride a '03 Ducati Monster 620 because some one stole my '07 GSXR-750 out of the parking lot by Muir Lane (while I was taking a mid-term). If anybody is interested in buying my Monster let me know. After my Suzuki got stolen I needed another motorcycle quick because it is what I use to commute and my friend had the Ducati that he never rode so I bought it from him. Now though I have saved up enough money to get something closer to my GSXR, but the dealers keep low balling me with trade in offers. So if you want to buy my bike send me an email and I can give you some more info or arrange for you to see it. Just the basics on it are that it is a 2003 Ducati Monster 620 i.e. Dark (the matte black) with only 2,800 miles on it (my friend never rode it), it has an Arrows carbon fiber exhaust that sounds awesome, dual caliper Brembos, a 14 tooth front sprocket for better acceleration and making it easier to drive around town, frame sliders, and some other stuff I can tell you about if interested. It is a great bike for new riders who want more than a 250 or are looking to upgrade but don't want a 600 sportbike as it has a low seat, is very light weight, and handles really well. Also it is one of the most customizable bikes there is. The KBB value is $4100, but that assumes 20,000 miles on it and doesn't take into account the $1000 exhaust system and other upgrades. I am looking for around $5500, but would be willing to negotiate with you guys. My email is afitch@ucsd.edu.
