Hey guys,
Had a blast on the group ride this morning. Sad part was I went down when my tire went straight through a mound of dirt going through a corner (very windy day today).
Good news: I'M PERFECTLY FINE. Just a swollen ankle and a little abrasion on my knee. MY GEAR SAVED ME. This is why I always stress ATGATT whenever going on rides. My boots likely prevented my ankle from breaking. My riding pants saved me a whole bunch of road rash and not to mention, my knees are perfectly fine. My jacket (and it's titanium shoulder protectors) did wonders in cushioning my fall and I have no injuries whatsoever on my upper body or back. My helmet hit the ground pretty hard and I didn't even feel it (have to get a new helmet now....but it did it's job)
Bad news: The bike is in worse off shape than me. It's not too bad though....tank didn't even touch the ground thanks to my frame sliders. I just need replacement pucks for the frame sliders, a replacement engine cover, new plastics, and new rearsets and I'm good to go!

A friend of my just went down yesterday. He wasn't wearing much gear and is definitely the victim of some road rash right now. Everyone, please take all the necessary precautions, at least to include ATGATT.
