Where: Library Walk

When:
May 10, 2010 MONDAY
Setup from 9-10am
Display from 10-4pm
Tear down 4-5pm.

Why:
Purpose of the event is to reach out to future motorcyclists on campus, and current motorcyclists that don't already know about the Student Club we have at UCSD.
We're going to have 4 Bikes posted, 1 of which will be my own, and another will likely be Sean's Track bike, or Diego's Track Bike (havnt talked to diego about this yet)
3 other bikes will be needed.

Looking for something non-honda, since I have a honda, and in good shape. Post if you have interest in displaying your bike, you will be also expected to help at the info table.

How Can I get involved/help:
Mike from StickOnThis will be helping us out with Shirts with SDMoto's design (I'll come back to this)
and a 5' x 2' Banner.
We will likely need:
1. Your help (post what times you can be at the info table talking to people, answering questions)
2. An EZ-UP
3. A Design for the SHIRT and POSSIBLY Banner

So if you have time and want to get involved, let me know. If you want to help you're gonna have to wear a SDMoto shirt (which will hopefully look badass anyway) So tell me your shirt size.

I'm likely going to design the banner, because we'll also use it at events at the race track.
But, if you have designs for the shirt. Please email hi-quality image files to
aimenshawki@gmail.com

If you can't help out - Please stop by anyway and say hi!

I have class from 9-12 and thats all. I can be around for the rest of the day and I dont mind puttin the 636 (I got the left-mid fixed too!) on display at all, so long as someone is making sure that nothing happens to her while Im gone! (That includes people touching or sitting on her!) More bikes the merrier.

Is this supposed to be purely recruiting? Or are we going to try and inform non-motorcyclists, including the ones who don't care about getting into it, about riding?

I'd like to do that for sure. If you want to talk to people about that stuff while you're at the booth if you help out, i'd appreciate that bro. Very good idea.

Any idea what kind of things you want to say? or maybe flyers you want to hand out?
I'm applying for school funding so if you want to develop the material you'd want to print I can try to
get it printed for you.

Also my girl is going to make a collage of our ride pics to display as well.

Viki is going to be organizing whos going to be at the booth and when.

Uh, I just wanted to do a motorcyclist information type booth. It doesn't have to be strictly related to just people who do or want to ride. An outreach thing, like I was talking about a while ago. Something thats just informative. Thats really the big thing for me. Im down to help out though for sure. I can be there around noon though.

Ill put my bike up too if you want. Got a new left mid fairing, looks clean! lol.

looking at the thread....i think we have enough bikes....

1. 09 ninja 250 (good bike for beginners)
2,3,4. Honda CBR, Ninja 636, Daytona 675 (shows variety of styles and things)
5. Diego/Sean's track bike (for those hard core riders and to show how biking is an awesome hobby)

we could even make tags for each bike / spec sheets if needed.

1) Glad your bike is gettin back to the running stages again!

2) We for sure have plenty of bikes for something like this, but why not have even more? More attention, more presence. If we get mroe attention, who knows what could come of it. At the very least, everyone could get to show off their bikes lol.

3) I see the table and canopy problem has been solved. lol. Thats outstanding!
