Hey everybody,

I'm new to SDmoto.com, but a couple friends and I have been itching to go on a ride out to Julian next weekend. It will definitely be in the morning, but we don't know if it'll be saturday or sunday.

As for the route, I've been out there a few times for hikes/runs but always carpooled so I don't know the roads. What I do know though, is that the freeway ride on the 15 there is straight.. but once we're in the area it's nice and curvy with a lot of areas to pull over for some views of the mountains. That being said, if anybody feels like taking the reins on this one and planning out a good route, meeting place, stops, and all that jazz, then please do so!

I really hope we can get a bigger group going, but right now its just 3 of us.

On another note, Julian pie is completely overrated, expensive ($13 a pie), and very very mediocre. But let's do it for the ride!!

Lets do it, Im down. Sunday morning might be less crowded and I don't mind leading the group. I've been there about 4 times for group rides and I know the way pretty well. Let me know what time you guys want to go.

anyone still thinking about this for Saturday? Supposed to rain Sunday, but apparently the weather is supposed to be sunny for Saturday, though a little bit on the cilly side, but better than rain.

My weekend just opened up so I'm down for a Saturday ride provided it doesn't rain.

well, we're just going to have to wait.  apparently all the weather sites have different opinions of the upcoming weather.  One says rain on Friday and Sunday, but clear on Saturday, and another says rain all three days.

On another note, Julian pie is completely overrated, expensive ($13 a pie), and very very mediocre. But let's do it for the ride!!

There chicken pot pie looks delicious, when I saw everyone else get them haha
and I like their boysenberry pie.
Not a pie guy myself (never did like math) but their boysenberry isn't too sweet and its got a nice tartness kick to it.

I'm down for tomorrow... I was riding around early today running errands... rain sucks...
