So it has come to our attention (Lonny, Aimen, Mo, Blake and myself) at the group lunch today that we have no school this Wednesday due to Veterans day. Because of this, we've decided to make an official event for that day to go to Palomar bright and early in the morning so we can avoid traffic and have the rest of the day to take care of whatever we want to take care of. So with no further a due, the details.
What: We're going to do a group ride over to Palomar Mountain which has a lot of twisties and is a ride which requires a pretty good amount of skill maneuvering your bike. This ride will be, from what I hear, a significant amount more technical and difficult compared to Ortega.
Who: Anyone who would like to accompany other group members in a twisty mountain ride. Be aware that this definitely requires a significant amount of skill concerning the maneuvering of your bike and that you should not push yourself beyond your limits because the last thing we need is one of our members to go down. SAFETY FIRST!
Where: So like I said we're going to Palomar mountain. I'll have the map for everyone soon, by tomorrow morning. We'll meet over at Costa Verde Chevron like in the past.
Here's the link to our route:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&source=hp&q=palomar%20mountain&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl... it just shows Palomar Mountain so click on "directions" on the left and make your starting point 9500 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, California 92092. That's from campus but it will give you the general idea of our route. It looks pretty damn intense.
When We're going this Wednesday 11/11/09. We will all meet up at 8:00 am and leave by 8:30am. We want to avoid traffic like last we kind of did at Ortega. It can definitely ruin a good time. So we have to go early also so we could get back and study for midterms and stuff. Be aware that this is weather permitting. If it rains, we might have to change routes or cancel it altogether.
Why: Because we have motorcycles and its fun when we ride them.
Hope to see you guys there. Reply to this post if you can go. Let us know so we can have an accurate roll call when we're at the gas station.
